1971 Dodge Charger
For Sale on eBay1971 Dodge Charger
For sale is my 1971 Dodge Charger SE. I purchased this charger in August 2013, and it was on the road and had an MOT. It was first registered in the UK in March 2013.
This car is a great base for a full restoration, as it is a complete vehicle with a current V5 in my name, old MOT and import papers, and a US registration document.
Engine:
Originally a 383ci V8, it has been replaced with a 1973 400 ci Plymouth Roadrunner engine with an aftermarket cam, race headers, deep sump, and ally Mopar rocker covers. The engine and gearbox have been removed, and all ancillaries and parts are fully complete. The engine has been stripped down to the bare block, and all components have been cleaned, measured, and tagged, ready for a full rebuild. At most, it needs a full set of rings, mains, shells, etc. The radiator and oil cooler have no leaks and are in good condition.
Gearbox:
The original Torqueflight automatic gearbox has a race T shift system.
Body:
This vehicle is being sold as a full restoration, but it has an unwelded original chassis that has no rot and won’t need any welding since it’s in great original condition (US import). Body panels such as the driver’s and passenger’s footwells/floors, boot floor, and small areas of the body will require welding, but no panels will need replacing, just repairs. The doors are in good condition with no major rust, and the hood and boot will require a small amount of repair. The original keys and all locks/ignition work, and all glass and trim are in good condition.
Interior:
The original full-width bench seat in black with red piping is in good condition. All seats are matching, with matching door/vehicle panels. The headlining has been removed, and the roof has been painted, and a full set of seat belts is included.
Wheels:
The Charger has aftermarket three-spoke alloys with Charger tires fitted, but the rubber will need replacing.
This vehicle is a complete vehicle for full restoration, imported in 2013 and on the road and MOT’d. It would make a great classic, which is now very rare to get hold of and hard to find in this condition in the US, let alone in the UK. The Charger has been stored since coming off the road in 2014 and fitted with a four-season car cover included in the sale.
It is a great base for a cost-effective restoration as it is a complete vehicle, and the V5 is in my name with original US registration and import papers, as well as the 2013 MOT.
I may consider part exchange, including classic car/truck/lorry/motorcycle, and anything considered. A £1000 deposit will be needed, with the balance by bank transfer or PayPal. This vehicle will need to be collected by trailer/transport since it is currently not on the road. Collection is in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
Viewings/inspections are welcome by arrangement.
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or need further information. The asking price is £12750.00, and I would consider any sensible offers.
