This is my Land Rover Series 2a named “Lizzie” in honour of our late Queen. It’s a 1971 model that has been lovingly restored and is enjoyed on a daily basis. It has a 2.4 petrol MOD spec engine with twin fan belts, a crank handle, and a brand new battery. The chassis is galvanized and the bulkhead and engine bay are rust-free and painted to a high professional standard. The seats are new and unmarked, but there are some age-related details that add to her character. The vehicle is fitted with Defender brakes and springs, steel rims, and off-road tyres, and comes with a brand new spare. It drives absolutely lovely with that classic gearbox whine and also sports that all-important overdrive. The canvas roof is in exceptional condition, and it also comes with a hard top. I am unsure of the genuine miles, but that’s irrelevant as she is over 50 years young, and the engines are bulletproof.

This old girl is a real find for someone to enjoy now and also an investment for the future. She’s going to be very sadly missed. Only serious offers will be accepted. Happy bidding!
