This 1972 Jaguar E-Type V12 is a matching numbers car with an original Regency Red exterior and tan interior. It has had only one family plus one owner, and still has the spare key attached to the bulkhead from the factory. The car was purchased new on December 1st, 1972 by Mr. Ron Bryan of King Street Telford, who kept it until 1998. It was then passed to his son Mark Bryan, who sold it in 2006 to Mark Stowell. The current owner purchased the car from Mark Stowell in July 2022.
The car has a history of being MOT’d and serviced at Jon Beer Auto Services in Devon. It comes with old MOTs dating back to 1990, when it had 17,000 miles. It now shows 26,000 miles, so it has only covered 8,000 miles in 32 years. However, it is assumed that the total mileage is 126,000 miles since there is no information available prior to 1990.
The car has no rust underneath and its brake air ducts are all in one piece and not damaged or removed, unlike most V12s. The paintwork is in fantastic condition and has a like-new shine, having been repainted around 20 years ago. The chrome is all very good and the interior is also very good, with new carpets fitted, very good headlining, and original and very good seats.
The engine and gearbox are both in good condition, with good oil pressure, easy start-up, no smoke, and smooth gear changes. Overall, this is a very usable car that needs no spending to be driven immediately. Being a genuine UK-supplied manual gearbox, it will always fetch a premium.
