1972 MGB Roadster Very Original
1972 MGB Roadster. Chrome bumper model. Overdrive.
Here at Real Life Classics we are pleased to offer one of the most popular British classic cars. The MGB Roadster. This example was first registered in May 1972 to a Gentleman in Gwent having been supplied by the main dealer Jack Richards of Nelson. The Gentleman owned the car until 2019 . It was originally Harvest Gold. It was restored approx 22 years ago by The welsh MG centre ( receipts provided). In 2007 a Ivor Searle remanufactured engine was fitted. This was approx 11000 miles ago. A rolling road check showed 97BHP last year and an agreed insurance valuation of £8000.
Looking at the car now it still looks very nice with excellent chromework and recent Minilite style alloy wheels. The bodywork whilst looking good is now in need of attention to various areas of the paintwork which has some areas of microblistering etc.
Mechanically the engine sounds very good with a very nice exhaust note. Electronic ignition has been fitted.
The interior is in excellent condition with nice seats, dashboard and carpets. The hood, likewise, is in very good condition and comes complete with a tonneau cover
The floors are very good (see pics) likewise the underside seems all solid but would benefit from a wire brush / undersealing to maintain it.
