1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
For sale is a 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, which I have owned since August 2020. The car came to the UK in 2015, with duty and NOVA paid, and is registered on an age-related plate. It is MOT and tax exempt, and I use it daily as it’s stored at my workplace. The car has a 5.7 litre 350 cubic inch ‘rocker’ engine with auto transmission. Since buying the car, I have made the following repairs and replacements: new rear wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and brake springs, new front calipers, new brake pipes and Flexi hoses, new master cylinder, new brake proportioning valve, new wiper motor and heater blower resistor, new water pump, and new dipstick and tube. I also have new HT leads, a carburettor rebuild kit, and wiper blades to go with it. The car is solid, with the only bit of grot in the body being under the driver’s feet, which will need repairing. The floorpan, boot floor, and inner quarters are good, and the fuel tank has been removed and steam cleaned, with new ethanol safe fuel lines and a new fuel filter. The car has had an oil change since I’ve owned it, and I have an oil filter that I haven’t fitted yet. The roof and rear quarters are quite dented, but I have a pair of Hurst Hatches so the roof could be T topped. All the trim is in the boot, and it’s an “A” body model. The front clip is fibreglass and needs repair, and the car needs a horn fitting. The front seats need retrimming, the headlining is torn, the dash has sun cracks, and the rear parcel shelf needs retrimming. If I were keeping it, I would paint it black and fit Cragars like this one.
