I am selling a first generation Renault 5TL PROJECT that has only had one owner since it was new in 1979. The car has been taken off the road for almost 30 years and has been stored indoors since then. There is no known history of the vehicle, but it comes with some manuals and brochures.
The car is in need of restoration and is being sold as seen, with no warranty given or implied. The front wings and driver’s door are rusted, but replacements are available. The exterior has some surface rust, but the floors and inner sills are in good condition. The interior is in good condition, with some mold from storage that can be easily cleaned off.
The engine is stuck after standing for so long, but I will try to tinker with it. However, I would recommend changing the old engine regardless. The car can be used for restoration or can be turned into a Gordini replica.
A £250 deposit is required by bank transfer or cash immediately on an agreed sale, with the balance paid and the car collected within 7 days. Collection is preferred, and the car must be picked up with a trailer or recovery truck. Delivery may be possible at the buyer’s cost.
