Mercedes 280SE 3.5 V8 W108 1972
Mercedes 280SE 3.5 V8 W108 1972. NO RESERVE
In great useable condition. I bought it off the previous owner who had owned it since the mid 80’s. It went through a full restoration in the late 90’s and then maintained each year since then. It is extremely solid underneath as it has been stored carefully since its full restoration.
Mechanically it’s pretty much spot on. It starts on the button and drives fantastically. I did unfortunately pull the handbrake a little hard and I believe the cable has come off the handle. I haven’t had chance to look at it yet but I have just been leaving it in park. Tyres have lots of tread, had a new exhaust a few years ago and brakes are in great condition as well.
Body work is in presentable condition. There are a few blemishes around the car. At the bottom of the windscreen will need attention at some point, but just cosmetically. All the chrome is in really nice condition and the wheel trims.
Interior is in overall great condition. The headlining has no tears and is nice and tight. The seats are great. It’s had some speakers put in at some point but there is no stereo in the car at the moment. Also has had central locking fitted.
I used this as a daily over the summer months and have unexpectedly lost my storage over the winter. It is tax and mot exempt, only cost me £95 for a year’s insurance as well. Has some paperwork with it, including photos of the restoration done. Lots of spare parts included as well, worth a good £300’s+ worth
